Rev Jennie Evans

Jennie was married to Rev. Barney Evans who died in 1980.  She has two married children, Naomi and Peter, and four grandchildren.  In 1975 she went to ACCM for selection to train as an Accredited Lay worker, with the view of becoming a deaconess.  She trained through a non residential course known as the Gilmore course based at Queens College Birmingham.

Form 1981 she worked non stipendiary as an Accredited Lay worker at Hart Plain Anglo-Methodist church. Ordained deacon at St Mary's Bramshott in Dec 1988 after a term at Salisbury and Wells Theological college.


1992-1995 St James, East Cowes

1995-2006 St Paul's, Sarisbury

2006-2010 Ran a small retreat centre in Pembrokeshire, helping the local churches of Bletherston and Llwahden.


Ordained Priest 2008 at St David's Cathedral.


Came to Thorncombe and the Two Shires Benefice in 2010, as house for duty priest.
